Pasta Serafina
Learn to Make Amazing Pasta

Welcome to Pasta Serafina
Formerly known as Pasta Bella San Diego, Pasta Serafina is my heart-led journey into the art of handmade pasta, now rooted in Oregon’s lush Willamette Valley.
I’m Melissa, and I created this space to inspire creativity, connection, and curiosity through pasta made by hand and shared in good company.
Each workshop feels like stepping into the kitchen of an old friend—rolling, shaping, and savoring pasta together while making new memories. Whether you're brand new or a seasoned foodie, I invite you to slow down and rediscover the joy of creating something beautiful—by hand, by heart, and in community.

Upcoming Workshops & Classes
Each Pasta Serafina workshop begins with the foundation of it all: crafting fresh dough from scratch. With your hands in the flour, you’ll learn how real pasta should feel—supple, elastic, alive. From there, we move into the meditative rhythm of rolling and shaping, using a variety of traditional tools and techniques to bring different pasta forms to life.
Workshops last about 2.5 hours, and casual, comfortable attire is encouraged—we’ll be standing, rolling, and most certainly getting a little messy.
After our pasta is made, we gather around the table to enjoy a light family-style meal, featuring the very noodles we’ve created alongside fresh salad. It’s a time to slow down, connect, and savor what we’ve made together.
You’ll leave with your handmade pasta, recipe cards, and full instructions for cooking and storing—plus a renewed sense of inspiration to carry the tradition of creativity, community, and pasta-making into your own kitchen.
The Instructor

Melissa
My passion for pasta started by accident—sparked by a cookbook I found in a bookstore. What followed was years of experimenting, failing, learning, and ultimately working as a professional pasta maker.
But the real magic happened at home—surrounded by friends who didn’t just want dinner, they wanted in. That’s how my workshops began in 2016, under the name Pasta Bella.
Today, in the Willamette Valley, I continue that tradition as Pasta Serafina, teaching with joy, creativity, and deep respect for fresh ingredients. I invite you to get messy, slow down, and roll with me.
